Don’t Settle!
Don’t settle. That’s what God said to me this week. Don’t settle. Don’t settle for anything less than your full inheritance in Me.
Because, let’s be real, sometimes it feels easier to settle. Easier to settle for what is, or even for what was, than to push through into what will be.
That’s what was happening with the people of Israel. They had been freed from Egypt. They were in the wilderness and on their way to the Promised Land. But they got frustrated. With the journey. With the manna. With the very provision of God in their lives!
And they started to complain. They actually wanted to go back to where they were, where they had been – to Egypt, itself – their past place of slavery and servitude and torment – than to push through into the new God had for them!
But the fullness God had for them – the fullness of God, Himself – was so much more wonderful, so much more amazing, so much more indescribable than anything they could have even thought of settling for!
And the same is true for us. For you and for me!
What God has in store! The fullness of His presence. The fullness of His glory. The fullness of His purpose and provision and protection. The fullness of His face and His glory and His goodness. Is so much more! So much more than anything you could settle for!
So much more worth it! So much more worth waiting for. And fighting for. And going after.
Eternity with Jesus. Eternity in God’s presence. Right here, right now. Walking and talking and living and loving with Him and in Him and through Him.
Yes, what God has for you – right now, in this moment and in all the moments to come – is so worth it!
So don’t settle!
Don’t settle for anything less than everything! Everything He has for you.
Don’t settle.
Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 AMP
Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you. Ephesians 3:20 TPT
